October Box
Washed Ethiopia and Natural Indonesia
This month marks the return of Shantawene, specifically Modor village, with a nice washed coffee with heirloom varieties from Sidama. We paired this
coffee with an Inoculated Natural Kartika produced by Karana Global in Bali, Indonesia, in collaboration with Catur Coffee.
Modor Shantawene
Washed 74110, 74158, Setami, Mekicho Varieties
Modor in Shantawene is situated between the village of Bombe and Bombe mountain in the Bensa district of Sidama. Small holder farms bring their cherries for sorting at Modor Shantawene washing station - categorized into various densities. Heavy density (1st Density) coffees are Grade 1, and showcase impressive washed process profiles.

Kintamani Kamala #01
Inoculated Natural Kartika
Our second "Kamala" (experimental prep) coffee from Forward Coffee.
"KAMALA means lotus as well as pale red in Sanskrit. This is our take on what Indonesian coffees could be under
experimental yet directed post-harvest techniques. KAMALA offers different arrays of fruity, boozy and out of this world flavours!
We achieved this through the use of mostly anaerobic natural technique as well as trial-based inoculants." - Mikael Jasin
